Stealth is a game mechanic that allows players to avoid detection by monsters or NPCs. Unlike traditional combat aggressiveness, stealth mechanics are typically quest-specific or activity-specific, often requiring players to stay out of an NPC's line of sight or use environmental cover (e.g., walls, trees, etc.) to avoid being caught.
Mechanics
Players can use walls between them and the monsters/NPCs, however, players will need to move past them to avoid their line of sight through walls, distractions, and/or waiting until their back is against the player. Players can also disguise themselves if required by the quest or activity.
