Graphical updates (historical)

Graphical updates are updates that change the appearance of non-player characters, monsters, items, chatheads, and animations from one version to another. While Old School RuneScape is noted for the older graphics used, there have been numerous graphical updates since the release of RuneScape 2, starting with a graphical update of Lumbridge in 2005. By the time of the August 2007 Archive of RuneScape, the process of graphically updating and reworking free-to-play content had been mostly completed.

The following is a list of graphical changes that occurred between January 2005 and August 2007 that, while consistent with the style, have never been present in Old School RuneScape.
