Zygomites can be assigned to level 60 combat and level 57 slayer by Chaeldar, Konar quo Maten, Nieve, and Duradel. Zygomites cannot be killed unless a fungicide spray has been used to deliver the final blow.

Zygomites can be safespotted by trapping them and moving out of their attack range. For instance, in Zanaris near the Cosmic Altar, players may trap them using a pillar and standing back near the mysterious ruins.

Players can alternatively kill Ancient Zygomites on Fossil Island or in the Stalker Den.

Zygomites mostly use magic-based melee headbutt which can hit substantial amounts, but they occasionally use more powerful magic-based ranged attacks by shooting spores. Dragonhide armour is strongly recommended while fighting them, as the high Magic defence will reduce the chance of them hitting you. If praying against their attacks, Protect from Melee is recommended, as their melee attacks are more accurate.

If killing Ancient Zygomites, using a Reagent pouch is good, since it can store the Mort myre fungus which is a guaranteed drop.
