Is also applied to restricted accounts (such as "max med" or "maxed pure").
In a PKing context, "max" or a "max set" refers to a set of high-value, endgame weapons and equipment. To kill someone "for max" is to acquire said items. See also: BiS. |

It is a notably loosely defined and subjective concept. The midgame exists on a spectrum between "early-game" and "late-game"/"endgame". |
