A rope can be attached to a rock on the 1^st floor of the Temple of Light to create a shortcut extending down to the ground floor, helping the player navigate the temple during the events of Mourning's End Part II. The rock in question is found in a large alcove free of Shadows, accessed by climbing over a low wall on the southern side of the 1^st floor, and can only be used if the player first uses a rope they brought with them on it. Thereafter, the player may free travel back and forth between the rock and the rope stretching to the ground floor.

The rope shortcut does not function as an Agility obstacle, and as such has no level requirement, does not grant experience, and cannot be failed.
