Mysterious Stranger is a shady individual found in the lobby of the Hallowed Sepulchre. Through dialogue options, they explain the mechanics of the Hallowed Sepulchre and the usage of Hallowed marks and also offers the option to unlock private instances for a one-time fee of 200 Hallowed marks.

They run the Mysterious Hallowed Goods shop, will store your Hallowed goods for you, and serves as a deathbank if you die inside the Hallowed Sepulchre.

During The Blood Moon Rises, it is revealed that the Mysterious Stranger's master is Sugadinti Vitur, and that they have been gathering hallowed marks due to them containing pure Silvthrill.

The Mysterious Stranger offers tool storage for the items they sell that are used inside the Hallowed Sepulchre. The storage can be opened using the "Exchange" right-click option. They can store at most 1 of the Hallowed grapple, focus, symbol, hammer, and ring, and at most 1000 Hallowed tokens.

• When the player asks the stranger to talk about themself, and the stranger provides a vague response, the player will reply with "All right then, keep your secrets." This is a reference to a line from the 2001 film The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, which later became a meme in 2018.
• After completing A Night at the Theatre, players can point out that they resemble the Mysterious Stranger players helped during that quest. The stranger will tell the player that their master was pleased with the help.
