The mounted coins can be built in the display space of the achievement gallery in a player-owned house. It requires 80 Construction to build, and—when built—it gives 800 experience. The player must have a hammer and a saw in their inventory to build it.
The mounted coins have no in-game effect other than cosmetic effect and display of wealth. Players can left-click to "admire" the display, making them perform the same animation as praying at an altar.
The coins are not returned if the mounted display is removed.

Trivia
- Constructing this object is one of the least cost-efficient means of gaining Construction experience, at a rate of −124,747.07 coins per experience point.
- As of 8 April 2020, 183 mounted coins showcases had been built.[1] This amount nearly doubled to 363 in the year and a half from then to 26 September 2021.[2]
- Despite having platinum tokens displayed on the table, they are not required to build mounted coins.
- While the gold sink is the most expensive item to build in a POH at 106,143,265; the mounted coins display is a close second. Furthermore, while the sink is primarily intended as a cosmetic as display of player wealth, it still provides in-game benefits as a functional sink. The mounted coins display may be seen as a more wasteful display of wealth as it provides no in-game benefits.
