Curry is a cheap high healing inventory blocking food frequently used when fighting the Chaos Elemental.

Inventory blocking food is food that leaves behind an item in the inventory after it is consumed. It is commonly used while fighting the Chaos Elemental, Chaos Fanatic, and used while blackjacking in Pollnivneach. Blocking food is generally used when it is desirable to keep the players inventory full. This can be to counteract a disarming special attack or to prevent the player from accidentally taking certain actions while rapidly clicking such as pickpocketing Menaphite Thugs.

All potions block inventory space on consumption if the player has not enabled vial smashing from Alfred Grimhand's Barcrawl. This means that barbarian mix potions can be used as inventory blocking food, as well as the stat draining Saradomin brew, which has the highest hitpoint heal per inventory slot in the game (excepting purple sweets).

Certain foods such as pizzas and cakes can be left half eaten as a form of inventory blocking food.
