The Cogs of the Blast furnace are necessary to keep the conveyor belt running. Sometimes the cogs break, in which case it has to be repaired by either a player or one of the dwarfs Numpty or Thumpy. Repairing the cogs will grant 50 Crafting experience. The dwarfs only repair the cogs when on a designated blast furnace world, and when an hourly cost of 72,000 coins is paid to the Blast Furnace Foreman.
