Ancient artefacts

Ancient artefacts are items dropped by revenants in the Revenant Caves. These can be exchanged for large quantities of coins by speaking to the Emblem Trader wandering around the caves or chiseled down into revenant ether.

Ancient artefacts cannot be protected upon death. Players will always lose artefacts if they are killed, even if they are the only item in the player's inventory.

Exchanging artefacts

The artefacts can only be given to the Emblem Trader in the Revenant Caves; it cannot be exchanged in Edgeville. In addition, players must exchange the artefacts on active Bounty Hunter worlds.

When exchanging artefacts, it is highly recommended to bring teleport items that allow teleportation up to level 30 Wilderness, such as dragonstone jewellery or a royal seed pod. This is because the Wilderness on Bounty Hunter worlds follows classic PJ Timer mechanics; the PJ timer is shorter than usual and attacking an opponent does not necessarily keep the player locked into combat. This means organised groups of players can effectively tag team a lone player. Therefore, players are advised to avoid all unknown players by immediately teleporting out or logging out.

If players are unwilling to risk bringing the artefacts to the Emblem Trader in the Revenant Caves, they may sell them to other players or on the Grand Exchange, or cast Low or High Level Alchemy on them to get 40% or 60% of the price the trader would have bought them for respectively.

A chisel can be used on on ancient artefacts to break them into revenant ether, providing 1 ether for every 500 coins.
