The free game
Free-to-play, or F2P, has no time limit. It has 15 skills, 24 quests worth 46 quest points, and the heart of the map: Lumbridge, Draynor, Varrock, Falador, Al Kharid, Port Sarim and the Wilderness. Free and members players play on separate worlds.

The nine members’ skills are Agility, Herblore, Thieving, Fletching, Slayer, Farming, Construction, Hunter and Sailing. Members also get Achievement Diaries and many more ways to travel.
Paying for it
Membership is sold on the official website and in the apps. It can also be paid for with a bond: an item bought with real money, or bought from other players on the Grand Exchange with coins. Each bond gives 14 days of membership. Many players pay for membership this way once they earn enough in the game.
Membership is shared with RuneScape 3, the modern version of the game: one payment covers both.
Tip. There is no rush. The free game has weeks of things to do, and all of it counts after joining.
