Trivia

A picture of the zombie pirate's models was posted on the ArtStation account of former artist Mod Skane with the file name having the word Xau-Tak in it. Based on that and the shadowy hands wrapping around the bodies of the pirates, it is likely the pirates were to have ties to the Shadow Realm and the blackstone pillars.
