Ice giants can be assigned as a Slayer task at 50 combat by Vannaka and Krystilia. They are the second strongest generic giants for their category, only slightly stronger than their mossy counterparts, with very slight defensive bonuses and having a 100% weakness to fire spells.
Ice giant tasks are generally not completed by players not training via Wilderness Slayer, as they have very unimpressive drops and many of them are far from a bank.
They are primarily killed as part of Krystilia's Slayer tasks, as a cluster of 14 slightly stronger ice giants can be found in the Wilderness Slayer Cave. These giants are found below level 20 Wilderness and are cannonable in a multicombat area, making it a very quick task for plenty of points. As the cave is a popular player killing spot, players should not take items they are unwilling to lose. Normal ice giants can be found at the Frozen Waste Plateau, but escape is next to impossible if caught by a player killer.
Eldric the Ice King, part of a duo that makes up the Royal Titans encounter, can be killed in place of normal ice giants if assigned by Vannaka. The task buffs will not apply for his counterpart, Branda the Fire Queen.
The giants located at the ground level of the White Wolf Mountain are rather tricky to reach. To reach them, mine the boulder located west of the ice warriors (requires 50 Mining) and climb down the southernmost ladder, then take the south-west path leading to another ladder, then climb up. Once you come up the ladder, the first two can be safespotted by the trees. Alternatively, you can use a ranged weapon to hit them from the mountain path, but this puts you at risk of being hit by the wolves (something to take into account if you're a low-level).
The giants in the Settlement Ruins can be safespotted in many places using any of the destroyed buildings or ice chunks scattered around the location. The ice spiders nearby are only aggressive if you stand adjacent to them, and can be easily trapped if you accidentally draw their attention, so they're of little concern. A cannon can be used at this location and it is multi-combat.
