Ploughs were found in the south-east of Hosidius, north-west of the Tithe farm, south-west of the Vinery. Players could push them back and forth to till the soil which earns Hosidius favour. A plough could only be used by one player at a time. Ploughs that were in-use by players could not be used by another until a period of time of inactivity had elapsed.

While ploughing, every tile had an approximate 12% chance to yield 0.2% favour.^[1] There was also an approximate 6% chance based on the player's current Strength level to receive 10 Farming experience.^[2] However the ploughs broke often and required a hammer to fix, granting 10 Crafting experience in the process. It appears that while in this activity, some random events were immediately dismissed should they appear.

With the removal of Kourend Favour, the plough fields were removed and replaced with fields of wheat and potatoes.

• It was possible to turn the plough sideways. This was done by simply repairing the plough from the side.
• Items dropped on or close to the field would not appear for other players. They would still despawn after 180 seconds.
• The plough could be used to push other players if they were in front of the plough's path.
