The marble portal nexus can be built in the portal nexus space of the portal nexus in a player-owned house. It requires 72 Construction to build and gives 2,000 experience when built. The player must have a hammer and a saw in their inventory to build it. The earliest a Portal Nexus room can be built is at 67 Construction using only the +5 boost from spicy stew, as the crystal saw does not affect the levels required to construct rooms.

The marble portal nexus can be directed up to four locations of a player's choosing; to do so, a payment of 1,000 times the required runes for casting the teleport spell is required for each directed teleportation (some teleport spells cannot be directed).
