Many lamps can be found providing light for the cave goblin city of Dorgesh-Kaan. At any one time, up to 10 of the lamps will be broken; players can fix these broken lamps by using light orbs, yielding 500 Firemaking and 500 Crafting experience each. Exactly which of the lamps appear as broken is unique to each player. Upon fixing a lamp, should the player still be carrying additional light orbs afterwards, they will be notified whether there is another lamp in need of fixing nearby, accompanied by a flashing arrow on their minimap if so.

For every 50 lamps fixed, the player will receive an additional 2,500 experience in both Crafting and Firemaking, for a total of 27,500 experience in each skill, accompanied by the message You have fixed a batch of 50 lights and have gained some extra experience. In addition, a filtered chatbox message will appear after every lamp fixed, stating the total number of lamps the player has fixed.

Attempting to fix a broken lamp using the menu option without a light orb will result in a nothing interesting happens message. Attempting to fix one with an empty light orb will yield the message You need to add a filament to that orb before you put it in.

Improved the Light Orbs activity.

  • Lumbridge elite diary now offers double wire when being thieved.
  • Thieving wire fail rates have been reduced at the top end.
  • Replacing a light orb now grants 50% of the firemaking xp as crafting xp instead, with the addition of it now requiring the same crafting level.
  • Counter added to track how many light orbs you've replaced.
  • Bonus XP is now granted every 50 light orbs instead of 100.
  • Added an indicator that will show you where the closest broken light orb is when repairing one, if there is one nearby.
