The knife is a quest item used only in Recruitment Drive. It is found in a bookcase in Miss Cheevers's trial.

It is used on the tin with a plaster cast of the key to retrieve the bronze key to open the second door. Alternatively, the chisel and bronze wire can be used as they serve the same purpose.

After leaving the room, all copies in the inventory are deleted.
