Ex-Captain Siad is a crewmate. Captain Siad can be found on the 1st floor of a building in the Desert Mining Camp, and can be hired at 50 Sailing[boostable] after completion of The Tourist Trap. He is carrying the sailing book which can be seen in his office bookshelf.
Entering the Desert Mining Camp requires the metal key, or metal key on the steel key ring, in the inventory. This key is obtained during the Tourist Trap quest by fighting the Mercenary Captain and can be reobtained after the quest if unowned. The mercenary captain stands immediately in front of the gate to the camp.
