Elder Nama is a tortugan elder that specialises in dealing with gryphons. They guard the cave entrance to Shellbane Gryphon Cave and prevent players going inside without a Slayer task or an elite clue directing the player to kill the shellbane gryphon.

Additionally, they act as a scoreboard that displays the player's statistics for the Shellbane gryphon fight as well as global statistics. As of 1 August 2026, the total kills are 40,272,776, total deaths are 138,062, and the global best time is 0:09.00.
