Zanik is obtained during Death to the Dorgeshuun. She is obtained (as an item) when the H.A.M. members dispose of her. She cannot be dropped or destroyed and attempting to do so will result in the player saying "I can't just leave Zanik's body lying around! I should take her to Juna." When brought back to life, if asked how it was when she was dead she says, "One minute I was at H.A.M. camp, and the next I was here!".

If one were to attempt an alchemy spell on her, a message will appear in the chatbox, stating Doing that would be disrespectful to Zanik.

The Abyssal leeches in The Scar are not interested in eating Zanik.
