Winter Summit 2022

The Winter Summit 2022 was a livestream event on 10 December 2022 where Jagex announced several potential upcoming updates.

• Forestry: The Way of the Forester was revealed as a possible social-focused expansion to Woodcutting. Forestry would remove competition for resources and introduce new events while woodcutting.
• Official Account Builds - Official support for restricted accounts like skillers on the hiscores, including the ability to choose preset options for specific account builds (e.g. skillers, one-defence pures) that would prevent gaining experience in pre-selected skills (for example, skillers would be able to engage in combat but would not receive any combat experience in doing so).
• Bounty Hunter was announced to make a return. The possibility of Bounty Hunter craters (akin to how Bounty Hunter was from 2007 to 2009) also returning was teased.
• Desert Treasure II - The Fallen Empire was announced with a new Prayer book, the Ruinous Powers, being revealed as a possible reward.
• Secrets of the North was revealed as the "mysterious Master-level quest" previously polled a month earlier.
• The possibility of a 24th skill being added to the game was teased.

All of these except Bounty Hunter were put to a poll, with Desert Treasure II, the Ruinous Powers, and Forestry passing. Official Account Builds failed to pass. The potential new skill was polled separately, with it passing as well. Bounty Hunter's rewards were also polled separately.
