Recipe for Easter Buns

For me, this is the ultimate Easter Bun recipe. Delicious, rich, eggy. I remember when I was but a young lad, the smell of thse buns would fill the house as my grandmother prepared them in the kitchen. Ah! It must be Easter! I would exclaim, then rush to grab them fresh out of the oven. Oh how I burned my hands! And how I burned my tongue! Well worth it in my opinion, these little wonders are perfection.
While it can be hard to find the spices and raisins (depending on your local provender) it is absolutely worth tracking them down for the real authentic flavour! I love to serve these spread with butter alongside a steaming hot mug of strong tea, and followed of course by a healthy stack of eggs - boiled, fried, scrambled, poached, chocolate, it matters not! Surely this is the essence of Easter! Scoff them down and make some more, then burst into song!
My favourite song to sing alongside Easter Buns is of course 'The white and the yolk and the shell' by the renowned hymnodist Souffleus Ovvonimninton, which of course goes...

Ingredients:
Yeastier dough
One special egg
Easter spices
Raisins
Method:
Add the egg, spices, and raisins to the yeastier dough. Use some of the dough to make egg shapes to go on top of the buns.
Mix it all up and form into lovely buns!
Place one of the pieces of egg-shaped dough on top of each bun.
Bake in a nice warm oven.
Give them all to Eggus Manus! (just kidding)
