Poison gas clouds are an area hazard of the sulphur mine, located in north-west Lovakengj. The clouds move around the mine, rapidly dealing damage to any players nearby. They deal 1-3 damage each tick to anyone within a 3x3 square centered on the cloud's south-west tile. This damage can be reduced to 1 damage by wearing a gas mask, facemask, or slayer helmet. It is possible to "safespot" the clouds by using one of the nearby spiders to block the clouds from moving on top of the player.
The clouds do not have a name in-game and can not be examined, but Toothy calls them "poison gas clouds" when telling the player about the mine,[1] and the config name in the game's code refers to it as lovakengj_sulphur_gas.

Trivia
- The model and animations for the poison gas cloud have been borrowed from the mist left behind by Vampyre Juvinates when they are allowed to escape.[2]
