The hoop and stick can be built in the ranging game space of the games room in a player-owned house. It requires 30 Construction to build and gives 120 experience when built. The player must have a hammer and a saw in their inventory to build it.
The game is simple, simply click the hoop and the player will make 10 attempts at landing the hoop on the stick. Success depends on the player's Ranged level. Upon successfully landing a shot, the player is awarded with 2.5 Ranged experience. A scoreboard will pop up when the first shot is thrown by the player showing the score of all players throwing.
This activity is frequently built instead of the dartboard or archery target because ranging gear is not needed to play this game.
