The High Priest was a "demonic goblin mystic" introduced in the 2013 Goblin Invasion event, responsible for starting the goblin invasions. Located in the Goblin Temple, he only appeared after enough goblin raiders and goblin lieutenants were slain, and he could only be damaged and killed with cursed goblin weapons. He attacked rapidly with magic spells resembling earth wave and was able to launch attack multiple targets at the same time.

He was a member of the Goblin Sun Cult, a group of goblins dedicated to bringing the goblin hordes back into the daylight, and manipulated King Snagwort into invading the surface world. He was later defeated when the human forces of Gielinor united to fight back against the goblins.

Upon defeating him, a disk of returning would drop directly into your inventory.
