Clan vexillums are banners that players can obtain from the Clerk in the Clan Hub. Players must be in a clan to claim a clan vexillum and clan cloak. Unlike clan vexillums in RuneScape 3, clan vexillums in Old School RuneScape cannot be placed on the ground for others to see, nor do they have any teleport options.

The clan motif that is on the vexillum can be customised in the Clan Settings interface by those with the appropriate clan permissions. Upon closing of the customisation interface, the new clan motif will automatically update for all clan members.

If the player has the appropriate rank (as defined by the clan leader), they can use the vexillum to invite other players into the clan. By equipping the vexillum, a new right-click option called "Recruit" will appear on players that are physically near.
