Ak-Haranu was seen during the 2014 April Fools event. During the event, players could sail from Draynor Village to an island in the Eastern Lands. Ak-Haranu was one of several NPCs who could appear on the island. Upon arrival, he would say one of various phrases while waving.
The regular Ak-Haranu is a trader in Port Phasmatys who is originally from the Eastern Lands. His dialogue during the April Fools event references the fact that this is his home region.
