Trees are burnt variants of trees found throughout the Wilderness. The burnt trees are found besides various instances of lava in the Wilderness, including the Lava Maze, the Chaos Temple, and the Deserted Keep. The trees cannot be chopped down and are purely decorative.

• Burnt trees in the Wilderness could at one point be chopped to obtain charcoal - this was changed by Mod Ash around 2006^[1], presumably to reduce the chances of players clicking to chop a tree by accident while meaning to attack another player or NPC.
