Spicy maggots are used Freeing the Goblin generals during Recipe for Disaster. They are made by using spice or gnome spice on fishing bait, or obtained as a drop from Surprise Exam events. Spicy maggots are not stackable, unlike ordinary fishing bait.

Spicy maggots are an ingredient (along with soggy bread and dyed orange) of the slop of compromise. Players should take the three ingredients to the Goblin Cook, who will turn them into the slop.
