The red vine worm is used in the Fishing Contest quest to catch the giant carp that wins the contest. They also may be needed to make a pair of magic secateurs in the quest A Fairy Tale I - Growing Pains, and can be possible a clue for finding Solus Dellagar in the quest Wanted!.

They are obtained by digging with spade near the red vines that can be found in McGrubor's Wood. The fairy ring code ALS can be used to quickly reach the vines.
