The lens mould is a quest item in the Observatory Quest. It is obtained by searching a stove in a locked kitchen in the Observatory Dungeon. The kitchen is accessed by killing the goblin guard nearby and then using the goblin kitchen key on the gate.

The mould must be given to the Observatory professor along with a piece of molten glass to make a new observatory lens for the telescope. He will be unable to make the lens and will return the mould and glass so the player can make it.

It should be noted that only one mould can be obtained at a time and only during the quest. It can also be kept after the quest if the player banks it before giving the observatory lens to the professor. Additionally, if the mould was kept after the quest, players can make multiple observatory lens, but it would serve no purpose.
