Items required	Bucket of milk 100 coins Seasoned sardine (Bought from the Grand Exchange) or alternatively: Raw sardine (can be bought from Gerrant's Fishy Business.) Doogle leaves (obtainable during the quest)
Recommended	Ring of charos (a) (to choose the colour of your kitten) Axe and 100 coins to cut down a dying tree in the Lumber Yard and create a normal plank for two easy Varrock Diary tasks. Fast travel to several locations Cooks' Guild in Varrock (2 trips) - Skills necklace or Varrock Teleport or Ring of wealth to Grand Exchange or Chronicle Lumberyard east of Varrock (1 trip) - Lumberyard Teleport or Ring of the elements

Pick up doogle leaves from behind Gertrude's house and use them on your raw sardine to make seasoned sardine.
Go to Varrock Square's newsstand and talk to either Shilop or Wilough, you need 100 coins. ( 2•2)…

2 Okay then, I'll pay.
Go to the Lumber Yard north-east of Varrock and climb-over the broken fence.
- Chop down a dying tree to complete an easy Varrock Diary task.
Go up the ladder in the middle of the Lumber Yard.
Use a bucket of milk and a Seasoned sardine on Gertrude's cat then go back down the ladder.
Search the crates with a yellow "Search crate" option and a yellow "Mew!" above them until you find Fluffs' kitten. (Searching the same crate repeatedly will not work.)
Go back up the ladder and use Fluffs' kitten on Gertrude's cat.
Return to Gertrude.
Congratulations, quest complete!
