Dry Cleaning is an easy combat achievement which requires the player to kill the Shellbane gryphon after having cleared its corrosive spit.
Strategy
The boss is more likely to use this attack if the player's equipped weight is ≥40kg.
When the boss uses its corrosive spit attack, take the hit and unequip all items. Once the game message Your armour stops corroding. appears, re-equip all items and finish the kill. If your game chat is set to "Filtered", this message will not appear.
Note: It is recommended to unequip the Tortugan shield last, as the Shellbane gryphon is capable of dealing high damage without one equipped (roughly 30 on top of corrosion damage). It is also recommended to re-equip everything as quick as possible starting with the Tortugan shield to avoid taking extra heavy damage, especially from a knockback attack.
