World Gate

The World Gate is a location rarely spoken of in Gielinor. It is said to have been lost at some point after the elves used it to come from their homeworld of Tarddiad to Gielinor.

When Guthix and Seren shaped the world during the First Age, it is believed that they also created a gateway through which the many worlds, or universes, could commune. Its only known users are the elves and humans, who arrived in Gielinor during the First Age. The gate is thought to have been sealed soon after their arrival; whether by Guthix or another is unknown. Since then, none have been able to access Gielinor directly through the world gate. Instead, beings from other worlds have found alternative methods of entering, usually through unstable portals, fairy rings or other means of teleportation.

The World Gate is only mentioned briefly during the elf storyline. It is spoken of in the books Prifddinas' history and Crystal singing for beginners.

• The World Gate may be the "powerful portal that had been sealed for centuries" mentioned by the fairy Co-ordinator that was used by the Fairy Queen to create the fairy ring network.^[1]
