Untradeable items glitch

The untradeable items glitch was a major glitch that occurred on 23 March 2022. With the release of Guardians of the Rift, there were issues when dropping untradeable items. Regardless of where they were dropped, they instantly appeared for other players, enabling them to pick them up. This meant it was possible for a level 3 account to obtain an infernal cape which is otherwise impossible under ordinary circumstances.

Jagex turned the game offline about one hour after the update to perform a rollback.^[1]^[2] The game was brought back online about three hours later after the rollback finished.^[3]
