Unstable ice are blocks launched by Amoxliatl, indicated by the game message . If not destroyed within 15 ticks (9 seconds), all remaining ice blocks will shatter, causing icy pools to form within 3x3 of where they were, and healing the boss (16-25) for each block shattered.
The unstable ice blocks can only be destroyed with melee, and melee attacks against them will result in a max hit with an attack speed of 1. It is possible to hit Amoxliatl and unstable ice with the same swing of a Scythe of Vitur, capitalising on the increased attack speed to do extra damage to the boss while also not incurring additional delay for the first regular attack after the final ice block is destroyed.
