The Royal Society is a pro-monarchist group led by Martin Holt in Kingstown, located near the Kourend Castle. This group was formed due to Martin's discontent with the corrupt Kourend Council that was formed to rule the kingdom until Rose came of age [1]. The Royal Society supports Artur Hosidius who is the current King of Kourend, although they (with a group of protesters) expressed their dissatisfaction against the council. This is due to the corruption within the temporary council that was formed after the death of King Kharedst IV and his daughter Rose. All four members of the council, Councillor Andrews, Hughes, Unkar, and Orson were arrested for conspiring to kill King Kharedst IV and Rose, as well as corruption since these four people have won every election since its formation.

A Kingdom Divided

During the quest A Kingdom Divided, Martin Holt, the leader of the Royal Society was arrested by Tomas Lawry for inciting violence against the Kourend Council and encouraging the people to take up arms against them [2]. Later during the quest, Jorra gives the player evidence of Councillor Unkar's corruption in the form of a declaration. This declaration stated that Councillor Unkar would betray and remove Lady Vulcana Lovakengj from her position as the leader of the city and become the leader instead. It was later revealed that Jorra was one of the members of the Royal Society, giving him the reason to give the player the declaration.

It is unknown who the other members of the Royal Society are besides Martin Holt, Jorra, and other protesters who share the same vision.
