Mystical barriers can be found in the Lizardman Temple below Molch, separating the Lizardman shamans into small enclosures. Passing through the barrier deals 1 point of damage to the player. When this occurs, the message As you pass the barrier, it saps your health. will be displayed.

Passing through the barrier three times in quick succession will cause it to change into a Mystical barrier (orange), which deals 10 damage to the player when passing through it. Passing through it three more times will turn it into a Mystical barrier (red), which deals 20 damage when passing through.
