Hallowfell cleaving is a combat technique that uses Hallowfell's cleaving effect to damage multiple nearby targets simultaneously.

This guide explains how to position enemies, rotations of tiles, and identifies suitable locations and Slayer tasks for cleaving.

Cleaving effect

When you strike a target, Hallowfell cleaves through nearby enemies, damaging up to two additional unique enemies in the three tiles in front of you, or the two tiles adjacent to you, or your own tile for up to 50% of your maximum hit each.

If all 3 targets get hit, that translates to +100% theoretical DPS. Main target receiving 100% of damage, the two secondary targets receive 50%.

Due to not using any resources like runes or chinchompas, this can be a more cost effective yet slower alternative to bursting, that also yields melee combat XP.

Tips on maximizing damage

Hallowfell's cleaving hit area. Player's own tile included as well.
  • Hit the highest health target to spread damage
  • Pre-position to spawns (Shift+Right Click a mob and select "Tag all" to see all spawn locations)
  • Use fast throwing weapons to tag mobs while staying in place
  • If you stack many mobs, use Monster Menu HP plugin to Right-Click hit the highest HP one
  • Can be paired with a Dwarf Multicannon due to cannon aggroing the monsters for free (but not all spots allow cannons)
  • If stacking 1x1 enemies, the Dragon halberd or Crystal halberd special attack will strike up to 10 enemies on the same tile.

Monster Image Notes
Banshee
Catacombs of kourend triple spawn spot
Bloodveld
Catacombs of kourend 7 spawn spot.

Can tag with sword hit instead of darts if you line up a triple hit due to clumping.

Jellies, Dust Devils, Nechryael
For all 1x1 mobs you can stack them similar to bursting, using knives/darts
