Evil Dave is located in the dining hall of Lumbridge Castle during Recipe for Disaster. The player must inspect him to start the Freeing Evil Dave subquest. To start the subquest the player is required to have level 25 Cooking, and the following quests must have been completed: Gertrude's Cat, Demon Slayer, The Golem, and Shadow of the Storm.

To finish the subquest, an evil stew must be used on Evil Dave.
