The strange passage in the Giants' Den is a shortcut between the Giants' Den and the Catacombs of Kourend. The passage first appears as a strange wall until the player climbs up one of the vines in the catacombs, permanently unlocking the passage.
The vine can be found just west of the altar in the Catacombs, by the level 22 skeletons.
