The scorpion cage is an item obtained from Thormac at the beginning of Scorpion Catcher. This item is used in the quest to capture the scorpions which are obtainable from: Taverley Dungeon, Barbarian Outpost and Edgeville Monastery. According to Thormac, these scorpions are rare. If you lose the cage, you can get another by talking to Thormac again. After losing the cage, you will need to recapture any previously caught scorpions.

It's possible to get this item from Thormac without starting Scorpion Catcher. It's also possible to obtain duplicates by having a full backpack when Thormac attempts to give the player a cage. However, the cage serves no purpose outside the quest.
