- Roy has a small chance of saying "My favourite colour is green!", to which the player will respond: "Great! How uncreative!"
- This and his colour palette are a reference to the British web series Don't Hug Me I'm Scared, in which the yellow character is told that "green is not a creative colour". In addition, the yellow guy's father is credited in the show as Roy.
- Roy jr., with the duck and Reginald, complete the trio depicted in the show.
