A ladder can be found within the confines of the Castle of Miscellania, located in the south. The ladder leads down to the settlement found in the Miscellania and Etceteria dungeon, requiring partial completion of the Royal Trouble quest. Before players are able to climb-down the ladder, they must receive a scroll from King Vargas to provide to the guard near the ladder. The guard will stop the player from entering without the permission of the King.
