The huge gate is the entrance to Arandar, the mountain pass leading to Tirannwn, unlocked after completing Regicide. It is south-west of the Tree Gnome Stronghold and west of the Outpost. The gate is used to access the elven lands and Prifddinas without having to travel through the Underground Pass. Prior to completion of the quest, the gate is a one-way exit.
After the Song of the Elves quest, mourners no longer guard the gate.
The gate has the symbol of Tirannwn on it, similar to the main gate of Prifddinas.
