Bones are dropped upon killing a mouse inside the mouse hole during Grim Tales. When on the ground, the bones appear much larger than regular bones due to the shrink-me-quick potion's effects on the player's size. However, if picked up and dropped again, they will no longer appear larger.
As these bones are technically a scenery object rather than an item, they will despawn if another object spawns in their place, namely more bones, cheese, or coins dropped by subsequent mice. They will also despawn in less time than items normally dropped from monsters, only 1 minute and 30 seconds instead of a full 2 minutes.
