The World Wildlife Fund conservation area was a location where the Big Cats & WWF event mostly took place. It could be reached by talking to a WWF conservationist at the Grand Exchange during the event. The entire area could be accessed on Free-to-play worlds despite parts of the event itself requiring membership to complete.

The area was centered around Emem Sharma and a portal that allowed players to teleport back to the Grand Exchange. To the north-east was the amur leopard area, which contained pine trees and stumps that the player needed to grow using the Farming skill in order to restore the habitat. To the south-east was the lion area, which contained patches to plant grass seeds. To the south-west was the tiger area, which had a large gap where a bridge could be built for the dwarven travellers Humroc, Thidrolda, and Strolgrum from the piles of rocks nearby. To the north-west was the snow leopard area, where there was a pen containing sheep that needed to be repaired in order to get the snow leopards to return.
