The unlikely home described in Rose's note is a small shack found east of the Farming Guild. There is a permanent fire outside of the home, as well as some maple trees.
During A Kingdom Divided, players learn that the home was involved in a plot against the former king of Kourend, Kharedst IV. While the Kourend Council originally intended to turn over the throne to Kharedst's daughter Rose when she came of age, Rose discovered the plot, causing the council to poison her. The poison put her in a comatose state, and she was kept in the basement of the unlikely home, looked after by Councillor Orson.
During the quest, players find Rose in the home's basement and euthanize her. Afterwards, they give her a funeral, placing a small wooden grave marker by the river outside the home.
