The tunnel entrance to the Kalphite Queen's lair in the Kalphite Lair requires a rope to be attached to it until completion of the hard Desert Diary when it becomes permanent. Prior to that, the rope will disappear after 2 minutes.

Ironman accounts enter a separate instance that is shared between all ironmen and is totally separate from non-ironman accounts.

The rope seen from the inside of the Kalphite Queen Lair is permanent, so leaving the lair is always possible even if the 2 minute timer has expired.
