A spade is a piece of scenery used to create an instance for the Mole Hole, allowing players to fight the Giant Mole in a group or by themselves for a fee of 25,000 coins (12,500 with completion of the hard combat achievements). This cost is halved if the player is an ironman.

Despite what the piece of scenery may suggest, players must still bring their own spade to create an instance.
